YOUTH CLASSES & LEAGUES

Session 3 - LITTLE SLUGGERS

Ages 3-4 years & 5-6 years: Sluggers is a great warm up for our T-ball league. 3-6 year olds will learn how to hit, throw, field, and run bases for baseball/softball in fun, safe, non-competitive atmosphere. First class is the week of April 7th. Boys and girls will learn the basics of baseball in this great introductory class. The focus of this class is to play baseball, meet new friends, and HAVE FUN

Lil' Class (3-4 yr olds) Meets: Tuesdays 6:15 - 7:00 pm; Fees: $35 YM $55 PM

Rookie Class (5-6 yr olds) Meets: Thursdays 6:15 - 7:00 pm; Fees: $35 YM $55 PM

Session 3 - LEGO ROBOTICS INTERMIDIATE PROGRAMMING/BUILDING

Ages 8-13: Explore the world of robotics using the LEGO®'s NXT Mindstorms kit. Participants will build robots out of lego pieces with motors and sensors to perform tasks and complete challenges. Participants will also learn how to program the bots by using software. It's easy to learn, and introduces the concept of programming with objects (icons). First class is April 7th.

Session 3 - WEDO LEGO ROBOTICS

Ages 6-8: This brand new Lego WeDo equipment is for first time robotics children. A simplified version of the Lego Mindstorms, these legos are meant for a younger age group to introduce children to Lego Building. First class is April 8th.

Meets: Mondays 6:15 - 7:15 pm; Fees: $35 YM $55 PM

JUJITSU

Ages 6 and up: Jujitsu is a form of martial arts that develops coordination, balance, strength, memory, discipline and confidence, as well as the YMCA’s core values.

Meets: Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00 - 7:00 pm; Fees: $55 YM $80 PM

Session 3 - T-BALL LEAUGE

Ages 3 & 4 and 5 & 6: YMCA T-ball is a fun place to learn about the sport or to fine tune your skills. Teams will have one practice and one game per week. Participants will receive a uniform, hat, and trophy.

First Practice: May 3rd

Game Days: Saturdays starting May 10th

Fees: $45 YM $65 PM

Youth Dance (Jazz & Hip Hop)

Ages 5-12: During the six weeks students will be taught a mixture of jazz and hip hop choreography, exploring rhythm while cultivating hand eye coordination which combines dance, culture, fitness and expression. The students will perform a routine at the end of the six weeks for their parents.

Ages 5-8: Wed. 4:00 – 4:45pm; Saturday 1:00 – 1:45pm

Ages 9-12: Wed. 4:45 – 5:45pm; Saturday 1:45 – 2:45pm

Fees: $30 YM $50 PM
